MHD100 Hydraulic Drifter

Equivalent to Sandvik HEX1

The typical applications of the MHD100 hydraulic drifter are foundation drilling, road cutting, trenching, bolting, line drilling in dimensional stone quarries, and other specialised drilling applications. This Mindrill-made hydraulic drifter is a small yet low-profile hydraulic percussive top hammer rock drill that drills with air flushing (water flushing is optional). To lessen the risk to the environment, biodegradable oils can be used in hydraulic and shank lubrication. The maximum suggested diameter for the hydraulic rock drill MHD100 is 45 mm.

The MHD100 hydraulic drifter is recommended for drilling hole diameters up to approximately 45 mm, depending on the drill bit type and rock formation.

No, the MHD100 operates with built-in air flushing as standard. Water flushing is optional and may be used when dust suppression or improved hole cleaning is required in specific site conditions.

The drifter requires clean, properly filtered hydraulic oil and regular shank lubrication during operation. Routine inspection of wear parts, correct pressure settings, and timely replacement of consumables such as seals and bushings help maintain drilling performance and extend service life.

The MHD100 is widely used in:

  • Stone quarrying & dimensional stone cutting
  • Construction & infrastructure projects
  • Mining & tunneling operations
  • Civil engineering and foundation work
